The System 5 was housed in full height KM6 Card Frame, this is fully detailed in the System 5 Handbook Part 2 Section 1.
The Card Frame was 4U high, 84HP wide and 180mm deep (1U = 1¾" or 44.45mm, 1HP = 5.08mm).
The Card Frame is fitted with PSU module (14HP wide) and an 8-slot Backplane which can accept up to 7 5HP front panels. The right hand side holds a single 35HP module with two full size 5¼" Floppy Disk Drives.
This photo from Chris's Acorns shows an example of a System 5 however this does not have the plug in PSU module and is fitted with a 10-slot backplane ?
